My Anger ~ Amanda
My anger
It is not like any other
Its untold fate, now can you discover
With a burning lump I swallow the rage
Yet it creeps up freed from its cage
My anger
Oh how it grows in faith
Fed the cries of the oppressed left in a state of wraith
Unlike the many who starve to the point of insanity
Its wrath breeds from the ignorance of humanity
My anger
Embedded right down to my roots
Soiled from the age of my youth
Long after the strange fruits hanged
Where it sought no justice in a white mans land
So do not overlook the way it is defined, for it is your anger just as it is mine.
